Dr. Sanaa Alharahsheh

World Innovation Summit for Health

Dr. Sanaa Alharahsheh is a Senior Associate of Research & Policy at World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), a member of Qatar Foundation. She previously worked as a Senior Researcher at Doha International Family Institute (DIFI), also a member of Qatar Foundation.

Dr. Alharahsheh taught at Wayne State University for several years and received her Ph.D. in Sociology from Wayne State University, MI, USA in 2011. She has extensive experience in research methods design and statistics with Interdisciplinary research perspectives and has conducted several studies on Arab American families’ well-being, Jordanian Bedouin families, and mixed marriage.

Currently she is involved in or leads several research & policy projects in healthcare and policy, such as autism among young adults, mental health among children and adolescents in Qatar, Nursing in Qatar, digital technology and children’s wellbeing, the impact of COVID-19 on ASD children and their families and the impact of COVID-19 on the elderly in Qatar.

Her research interests focus on areas of healthcare and policy, research methods and statistics, medical sociology, mental health, family well-being, and cross-cultural studies.
