Ms. Afrah Moosa Ali is driven by her dedication to improving the health and care of patients and communities in Qatar. As Assistant Director of Nursing in Operations for Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), Afrah brings more than twenty years of key competencies and extensive experience in nursing and nursing management to promote patient and family-centred culture that promotes superior clinical excellence and client collaboration.

Afrah is a highly skilled and trusted advisor to PHCC’s senior leadership team. She is a prime contributor to nursing development, ensuring PHCC follows professionally set nursing standards, including international and governmental requirements. As an advisor for PHCC’s nursing program, Afrah ensures nursing staff are aware of their duties and proficiently skilled to perform them. Since joining PHCC in 2004, Afrah has held ever-increasing management roles in nursing, including Manager of School Health Services and Programs, where she directed the health and well-being of students and their families across Qatar.

Afrah has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Calgary and is a registered nurse and midwife. Afrah’s commitment to nursing excellence and continuous learning is demonstrated by the awards she has received in her academic and professional career such as the President’s Award of Excellence and Leadership in the Middle East from the University of Calgary-Canada and an award for Outstanding Academic Achievement at the University of Calgary-Qatar. She currently holds an adjunct appointment as a member of the Faculty of Nursing with the University of Calgary-Qatar at the rank of Adjunct Clinical Associate, Faculty of Nursing.
