Bili-Blanket is portable device which can be used in newborns with Neonatal jaundice (NNJ) in very comfortable manner.
It is created with locally available materials where light emitting diodes are attached in the baby’s blanket.
It can be used at homes and while travelling without interruption.
It will have back-up charge which can last at least for 2 hours.
The device will ultimately be reducing unnecessary overflowing of newborns for treatment of jaundice in the hospital and help in reducing the financial implications to the health system.
