The phrase “not all superheroes wear capes” is one that has been said a lot during 2020, a year that has seen unprecedented pressure placed on healthcare professionals around the world.
They may not wear capes, but Qatar’s healthcare heroes all wear masks – whether working in a frontline role, dealing directly with COVID-19 patients and those suspected of having caught the coronavirus, or working behind the scenes, informing the public about how to stay protected or making sure that effective health policies are in place.
This exhibition, created on the occasion of the World Innovation Summit for Health 2020, unmasks a small selection of individuals who are each playing their part in the fight against COVID-19 in Qatar. Those featured are a cross-section of the workforce, representing more than 45,000 people employed across Qatar’s healthcare system.

The exhibition is now open at the Fire Station outdoor exhibition space.
