Healthy Dry Cities

Forum Panel- 75mn

The WISH Healthy Dry Cities report looks at this new discipline documenting the current debate about the looming problem of insufficient (potable) water for health in an urban context and how the desertification of cities affects health, while considering broad aspects and links with issues such as economic policy, inequality and technology.

With a focus on vulnerable subpopulations, the report will investigate what impact water scarcity in cities may have on mental health, how architecture and planning in cities with scarce water can promote health and wellbeing, while discussing infectious disease in water scarce cities and how health services can be optimally organized to adapt and respond to increasing urban dryness.
